Chelsea Revisited” (2018)

Senior film project. I was inspired by the experimental films of Andy Warhol. This might require some explanation. Please bear with me, I know I’m pretntious.

The three separate screens are meant to be projected onto three walls surrounding the viewer. The stories can be as complex or as simple as the viewer chooses to make them. I had been thinking alot about how we don’t often think about the people who occupy the same spaces as us. Particularly in the city where we live on top of each other. Hundreds of people are gathered in one place living hundreds of separate lives, and yet we never give it a second thought. I wanted to invite the viewer to take a moment to think about what stories are happening next door, There are multiple Warholian references hidden in each screen, you know, as a treat.

“Tier One Documentary” (2015)

This is a short documentary I worked on early in my time at UTA. It was on the front page of the UTA website for a short while when they were seeking tier one accommodation.

Working on this one allowed me to get a taste of working as a producer. I secured interviews, locations, equipment and even created the shoot schedule. Aside from being a producer (it’s student film, we all wore multiple hats) I did some of the cinematography and took charge on research and writing the script. There were a few versions of this cut using group footage, this is mine.

Biggie Interview” (2016)

This is a movie about Biggie. We love Biggie.

This is a short documentary about a German immigrant and her story of moving to the United States in the early 90’s. She talks about what she misses, how she got here and what it was actually like when the Berlin wall fell. I was fully in charge of this project. It was just me and somebody to run the camera. We shot as much of this as we could using natural light (the windows in this her house were huge). I did all the legwork as well as the editing and writing for this one.
